Tamar Kasparian’s artistic quest tirelessly aims to capture the traces of nature and its innumerable transformations in
order to transcend them. Born in 1975, the Belgian-Armenian artist captures the forces of nature on traditional, very

« Créer non pas pour savoir qui l’on est, mais peut-être pour savoir en quoi, en qui l’on est en train de se transformer. Les dessins de Tamar sont une description expérimentale d’une mutation. Pendant ce processus sans fin, qu’est-on ? Un devenir-végétal dont les racines s’éparpillent en même temps qu’elles assurent leur emprise, un être vivant serein tel un arbre au contour net mais dont l’intérieur bouillonne, un espace vide marqué par l’empreinte d’un être absent. Étrange sentiment d’aspiration et de vertige que fait naître ce vide et étrange senti- ment contraire et aussi vigoureux, de plein, d’abondance, d’intensité, lorsque les fonds du dessin saturent l’espace disponible et le transforment en matrice d’énergies. » C.L
La quête artistique de Tamar Kasparian se résume inlassablement à saisir les traces de la nature et de ses innombrables transformations pour transcender celles-ci. Née en 1975, l’artiste belgo-arménienne capte les forces de la nature sur papier japonais traditionnel, très fin, « dans une démarche presque archéologique, qui relève d’une esthétique de la trace, de l’empreinte », note JF Kugel.
Au cours de ces dernières années, sa pratique est devenue de plus en plus multidisciplinaire, mêlant dessins, peintures, broderies, céramique à froid et mosaïques et multipliant les collaborations avec des artistes photographes et musiciens. Ses projets personnels artistiques ont été exposés en Belgique (Fondation Boghossian, Aeroplastics, La Chapelle de Boondael, Le Museum des sciences naturelles, Le Centre Culturel Jacques Franck) et à l’étranger : Istanbul, Paris, France, New York, Sao Paulo (Brésil), Berlin...
